Why We Built CreateSong

Making a song used to mean juggling a lot of software. You wrote lyrics in a notes app, sketched a beat in a DAW, hunted for a singer, sent files back and forth for a mix, and paid someone to master the result. AI music tools made parts of that faster, but most of them only solve one step. You generate a track on one site, remove the vocals on another, and master it somewhere else, downloading and re-uploading the same file each time.

CreateSong puts every one of those steps in a single studio. You can write lyrics, turn a sentence into a full song, rework a track you already have, add the parts it is missing, pull it apart into stems, and master the final mix without leaving the site. Every result lands in My Creations, so the output of one tool is always one click away from the input of the next.

This article is a tour of the studio. We will go through each tool, explain what it is good at, and show how they connect into real workflows for video creators, songwriters, marketers, game developers, and podcasters.

“Write, generate, and rework songs, then add parts, separate stems, and master the mix without switching apps.”

The AI Music Generator: From a Sentence to a Song

The AI Music Generator is the heart of CreateSong. You describe the song you want and the AI composes the melody, arranges the instruments, writes or sings the lyrics, and produces a finished track. A single sentence such as "warm acoustic folk about coming home after a long winter" is enough to get started.

Each run gives you two full versions of the song, usually in about a minute. Two takes on the same idea make it easy to compare: keep the one that hits, and send the other to remix or extend. Tracks can run up to eight minutes, which covers everything from a short intro sting to a full album cut.

You have as much control as you want:

  • Vocals or instrumental. Switch to instrumental mode when you need background music for a voice-over, a stream, or a game level.
  • Your lyrics or AI lyrics. Paste lyrics with verse and chorus markers and the AI will sing them. Leave the field empty and it writes lyrics that match your description.
  • Any genre, freely mixed. From lo-fi and K-pop to orchestral and metal. You can blend styles in a single prompt, such as "chiptune with a gospel choir".
  • Expressive voices. Male, female, duet, or rap vocals that follow your phrasing and the emotion of the lyrics.
  • Many languages. Write and sing in English, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Hindi, and more.

If you already write music, you can be precise: set the tempo, name the instruments, describe the structure, and list the sounds you do not want. If you have never written a song, describe a feeling and a setting and let the AI fill in the rest. Both approaches produce full arrangements with verses, choruses, and bridges, mixed and balanced so the song sounds finished the moment it renders.

The AI Lyrics Generator: Words First

Some songs start with a story rather than a sound. The AI Lyrics Generator turns a short story, a memory, or a feeling into structured lyrics with verses, a chorus, and a bridge. You choose the mood, the genre, the structure, and the language, then read and edit the result before anything is sung.

Writing lyrics separately is useful when the words matter most: a wedding song with real names in it, a jingle that has to say the product name twice, or a birthday song with inside jokes. Once you are happy with the lyrics, send them straight to the music generator and pick a style. You keep full control over every line, and the AI handles the melody and the performance.

Rework a Song: Remix and Extend

Generating a new song is only half the story. Most creators already have tracks they want to change, whether those are songs generated on CreateSong or audio they upload. Two tools are built for that.

AI Remix takes a song and a description of a new sound, and returns two reworked versions. Turn a ballad into a club track, a pop song into a lo-fi bed, or a rock demo into a synthwave anthem. The core of the song stays recognizable while the production changes around it.

AI Extend keeps a song going. Pick a point in the track and the AI continues from there, with optional new lyrics. Use it to turn a 30-second idea into a full-length song, to build a seamless loop for a game, or to stretch a track so it matches the exact length of a video edit. Advertisers use it to cut 6, 15, and 30-second versions of the same jingle.

Add Vocals or Add Instrumental: Fill in the Missing Parts

Many people come to CreateSong with half a song. A producer has a beat but no singer. A singer has a vocal take but no band. Two tools close that gap.

Add Vocals puts a sung performance on top of your instrumental. Use your own lyrics or let the AI write them, and the vocal follows the key, tempo, and feel of the music you upload. It is a quick way to hear what a beat sounds like as a finished song.

Add Instrumental does the reverse. Upload a vocal or an a cappella recording, describe the style you want, and the AI builds a full arrangement around it. Songwriters use it to turn a voice memo into a demo they can share before booking studio time.

Remove Vocals and Split Stems: Take a Song Apart

Sometimes you need less of a song, not more. The vocal remover separates the singing from the music and gives you two files: a clean a cappella and an instrumental backing track. That is everything you need for karaoke, for a podcast bed you can talk over, or for sampling a vocal hook.

Split Stems goes further and breaks a track into individual layers such as vocals, drums, bass, piano, and other instruments. Stems let you rebalance a mix, mute a part you want to practice along with, hand clean files to a producer, or feed separate layers into a game engine for dynamic music that reacts to the player.

AI Mastering: Make It Hold Up on Any Playlist

Mastering is the last step before a song goes out into the world, and it is the step most hobbyists skip. Without it, a track can sound quiet, thin, or dull next to professionally released music.

AI Mastering works by reference. Upload your mix along with a reference track you like, and the AI matches the reference's loudness, tone, and punch. The result is a master that sits comfortably next to the music your listeners already play, whether that is on a streaming playlist, in a YouTube video, or through a phone speaker.

How the Tools Fit Together: Example Workflows

The real value of having everything in one studio shows up when you chain tools together. Here are a few workflows our users rely on.

Video creators. Generate an instrumental track that matches the pace of your edit, extend it to the exact length of your cut, and master it so it does not get buried under your voice-over. No more scrolling through stock libraries looking for something that almost fits.

Songwriters. Draft lyrics with the lyrics generator, paste them into the music generator, and hear a full demo in a couple of minutes. When it is ready, split the stems and send them to your producer.

Marketers. Turn a campaign brief into a catchy hook, then cut short and long versions with the extender. Localize the lyrics for new markets and keep a consistent sound across every spot.

Game developers. Generate level themes and ambience, from chiptune to orchestral, extend them into seamless loops, and split stems so the engine can bring drums in when the action heats up.

Podcasters. Create a theme tune, intro and outro variations, and short stingers for ad breaks. Use the vocal remover to make talk-over beds from any track you generate.

“The output of one tool is always one click away from the input of the next.”

Rights, Credits, and Plans

Every track you create on CreateSong is 100% royalty-free. You never pay ongoing royalties for a song you generated, no matter how many times it is played.

What you are allowed to do with a track depends on your plan. The free tier is for trying the studio and is not licensed for commercial use. Lite plans cover social media and streaming uses. Pro plans add a full commercial license, which is what you want for client work, advertising, and products you sell. The pricing page lists the details for each plan.

The studio runs on credits. New accounts get free credits to start, so you can hear what the generator produces before paying anything. Paid plans add a monthly credit allowance, and a one-time starter pack is available if you want more room to experiment without a subscription.

If you plan to publish your music on a platform with its own rules, such as YouTube, read our guide on using AI music on YouTube before you upload. Platform policies and copyright rules for AI-generated work are still evolving, and it pays to know them.

Get Started in Three Steps

You do not need music experience to make your first track. The whole process looks like this:

  • Describe it. A sentence is enough. Add a genre, a mood, a tempo, or paste your own lyrics.
  • Generate. Get two full versions in about a minute. Keep the one that hits and remix the other.
  • Refine and export. Extend the ending, split stems, or master the mix, then download high-quality audio.

That is CreateSong: one studio for the whole life of a song, from the first line of a lyric to a master you can publish. Open the AI Music Generator, describe the song in your head, and hear it in a minute.
